Vero Beach Regional Airport is adding its second American Airlines destination. Beginning November 7, the carrier will fly nonstop to Philadelphia on Saturdays, seasonally through April 3, using CRJ-900 regional jets under the American Eagle brand. Roundtrip fares start at $327, according to Treasure Coast Newspapers reporter Jack Randall, who first reported the route, with scheduling details confirmed by American Airlines spokesperson Rob Himler.

American arrived at Vero Beach only in February, launching with a single nonstop to Charlotte, its second-largest hub after Dallas Fort Worth. Philadelphia is the airline's first expansion beyond that route, and it is a meaningful one: greater Philadelphia and its surrounding counties sit among the wealthiest metro regions in the country, with a substantial population that already treats Florida's east coast as a second home market.
